❓ How to use this app
- Tap the type of equipment in step 1, such as a washing machine or an oven. Not listed? Tap “Something else”.
- Type the make (the brand name), and the model number if you can find it. Not sure where it is? Tap “Where do I find the model number?” If you chose “Something else”, first type what it is, such as “sewing machine”.
- Not sure what it is, or feeling confident? Take a photo and ask an AI app such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Step 2 shows you exactly what to ask.
- If you like, tap what you need help with, or type it in your own words.
- Tap “Find my instructions”. You’ll get links to the instruction booklet, how-to videos and a ready-made question to ask an AI app. Each link opens in a new tab, so this page stays open.
- Found what you need? Tap “Save to my appliances” and next time it’s one tap. It’s saved on this phone or computer only.

1. The written instructions
Best place to start. Most manufacturers put their instruction booklets online for free as a PDF.
2. Video guides
Seeing someone do it is often easier than reading. Check the video is for the same make, and ideally the same model, before you follow it.
3. Ask AI to explain it
AI can explain things step by step in plain English. Copy this question, then paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or another AI app. Always check its answer against the official instructions.
