A genuine AI colourisation, not a filter
This uses a real, free AI colourisation model, not a simple brightness tint. It looks at each part of your photo, the sky, skin, grass and more, and works out realistic colours for it before painting them back in. Everything happens on your own device, so your photo is never uploaded anywhere. Worth knowing: more advanced (and more expensive) professional colourisation services do exist, sometimes with a person touching up the result by hand. This free version will not always be perfect, but for many people it is more than enough to bring an old photo, and the people and places in it, to life in a way they may never have seen before. The first time you use it your browser downloads the AI model itself (around 75MB), so it can take a little while to get going. After that, it is quick.
